About me
I am a researcher in finance with a focus on biodiversity and nature-related risks, as well as their implications for corporate finance and financial markets. My work examines how environmental factors—particularly biodiversity loss and ecosystem degradation—shape firms’ financial policies, governance practices, and market valuation.
Using machine learning and textual analysis, I study how nature-related and ESG information is incorporated into corporate decision-making and investor behavior. I am particularly interested in how biodiversity and climate risks affect firms’ cost of capital, risk management, and long-term value creation.rmation affects firms’ cost of capital, risk management, and long-term value creation.
I am currently an Assistant Professor (RTT) in Finance (SECS-P/09 and SECS-P/11) at the Department of Economics and Management, University of Trento. Prior to this, I was a postdoctoral researcher at TUM Campus Heilbronn, Technical University of Munich. During my time at TUM, I also completed a research visit at the MIT Sloan School of Management. I earned my Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Trento in 2023. During my doctoral studies, I was a visiting researcher at the Associate Professorship of Applied Mathematical Statistics at the Technical University of Munich. Before pursuing my Ph.D., I completed a Master’s in Finance and a Bachelor’s in General Management at EBS University in Germany. My academic and professional journey has been driven by a commitment to combining analytical rigor with a broader societal purpose—an approach that continues to shape both my research and collaborations.
